Jesus Ate Organic by Dennis Hughes Jesus ate organic Everybody knows You can see it in his pictures He had a healthy glow Jesus dined upon falafel He made a hummus spread Then stuffed it in the pocket Of his sprouted pita bread He liked to make fruit smoothies Full of superfoods Phytonutrients and Anti-oxidants he chewed He’d have a salad on the side Organic mesclun greens Piled high with veggies Of every kind you’ve seen He said to hold the bacon On his BLT instead “Just spread some avocado On my pita bread” He watched his carbohydrates But he loved apple pie With a glass of almond milk And gave a happy sigh He made loaves and fishes Jesus made sprouted bread The fishes weren’t from fish farms He made them wild instead Jesus ate organic He wore organic clothes Your body is your temple How you treat it really shows Jesus never bit a burger Nor had a side of fries Nor a chocolate milkshake Jesus did not super size He never bit a burger And Jesus never lies “You’ll eat too many calories If you super size” |
